4 Font Styles – Make Your New Pages Look Better
Your website (using the WordPress editing toolbar) comes with 6 pre-set font styles (you can access these on your toolbar when you are editing a page on your site). For most websites, this gives you plenty of options for font sizes. You can also create a custom color for any one of these font styles on your toolbar when editing a page.
To make it easy for you to know what those preset font style are for your website, I created a page on your site where you can view the pre-sent font styles available on your EDITING TOOLBAR. Go to the page named “font” on your website:
www.yourdomainnamehere.com/font
TIP — Take the video tutorials to learn how to edit your pages, and once familiar with writing and editing pages and posts, the font styles will make sense.
5 Backup Your Website
It’s important to periodically make a backup file of your blog and website. Every blog entry and page that you create or edit is stored on your website hosting company’s server. However, the best way to guarantee that you have a current backup, in the unlikely event your host company server fails or your website is hacked (it’s rare, but it can happen), is to create backup files.
If you have CATCH8.COM hosting, you can download these PDF documents with instructions on how to do-it-yourself:
> a) Backup your website database…
If your site is hosted with CATCH8.com:
The “BackupBuddy” Plugin was installed on your website, allowing you to make a quick backup of both your database and your entire website. Login to your website and go to the BACKUPBUDDY menu on your toolbar to make a quick backup. You can download a copy of the backup file to your computer desktop, by clicking on the “.zip” backup file that you created.
If you are continually uploading images to your site, remember to download (for backup) a copy of those files – located in this folder on your host server, folder location: /wp-content/uploads
6 Annual Maintenance & Upgrades
As software and browsers (Internet Explorer; Firefox; Chrome; Safari) update, it’s important to keep the software that your website runs on up to date also. Upgrades assure your site continues to operate and have better security. Annual maintenance (full backup and upgrade) is highly recommended.
